The Pasadena Hills Historic Preservation Committee, headed by resident architect, Lee LeBoeuf,  has completed its goal of attaining Historic District status for our community.  This process began almost three years ago and has been fueled by great community involvement.  Please thank those members involved in bringing this prestigious distinction to Pasadena Hills.

The benefits of becoming a historic district are tremendous! 

Please support those individuals that have and will continue to volunteer many hours of their personal time towards this great goal.  In the end, we will all benefit from their efforts.

We welcome any comments or concerns that anyone may have regarding this process.

PURPOSE
Senate Bill 1, passed September 1997, established the Historic Preservation Tax Credit program. The program will begin January 2, 1998. It allows for a 25% tax credit of the total cost and expenses of rehabilitation of a historic property - provided the costs associated with the rehabilitation exceed 50% of the total basis in the property and the rehabilitation meets the standards consistent with the Standards of the Secretary of the U. S. Department of Interior for rehabilitation. The Missouri State Historic Preservation Office will certify the structure and rehabilitation. Tax credits may be carried back 3 proceeding years and carried forward for the succeeding ten years. Structures must be a certified historic structure located in Missouri and listed individually on the National Register or a structure located in a certified historic district listed in the National Register of Historic Places or a local district that has been certified by the U. S. Department of Interior.
