CHAPTER 105: ELECTIONS Art

105.030: Wards ARTICLE I. CITY OFFICERS SECTION 105.010: ELECTION OF MAYOR The
Mayor shall be elected at the Municipal Election day, April 5, 1983, and shall
serve for a term of two (2) years, as set forth by law.
Thereafter, the Mayor shall be elected at the general municipal election
day, as prescribed by State law. (Ord.
No. 279 §3, 5-10-82; Ord. No. 513 §1, 8-12-97) SECTION 105.020: ELECTION OF ALDERMEN The
Aldermen shall be elected at the Municipal Election day, April 5, 1983.
Two (2) Aldermen shall be elected from each Ward on that date.
The person receiving the highest number of votes in each Ward shall hold
office for two (2) years, and the person receiving the next highest number of
votes shall hold office for one (1) year; thereafter, on the general muncipal
election day, as prescribed by State law, each Ward shall elect annually one (1)
Alderman, who shall hold office for two (2) years.
