ARTICLE III. GENERAL
PENALTY SECTION 100.090: GENERAL PENALTY FOR VIOLATIONS OF CODE─CONTINUING VIOLATIONS Whenever
in this Code or in any ordinance of the City an act is prohibited or is made
or declared to be unlawful or an offense, or whenever in such Code or
ordinance the doing of any act is required or the failure to do any act is
declared to be unlawful, and no specific penalty is provided therefor, the
violation of any such provision of this Code or any such ordinance shall be
punished by a fine of not exceeding five hundred dollars ($500.00), or such
imprisonment not exceeding ninety (90) days, or by both such fine and
imprisonment. Each day any
violation of this Code or of any ordinance shall continue shall constitute a
separate offense. SECTION 100.100: EQUITABLE RELIEF AND COMPLIANCE In
addition to any other penalties established for violations of any ordinances
of the City, the official of the City responsible for enforcement of any such
ordinance may, after approval by the Board of Aldermen, apply to a Court of
competent jurisdiction for such legal or equitable relief as may be necessary
to enforce compliance with an ordinance adopted by the City. In such action the Court may grant such legal or equitable
relief, including, but not limited to, mandatory or prohibitory injunctive
relief, as the facts may warrant. (Ord.
