We drive out Natural Bridge Road to just West of Lucas and Hunt and into the grounds over Roland Boulevard, a one hundred foot street, at a massive entrance gate towering 65 feet into the air, built on Bedford cut stone. Roland Boulevard has a beautiful parkway center, landscaped throughout it’s length, with parkways on either side. As we drive north we first pass an large ravine to the right, originally intended as a recreational area housing tennis courts and a children’s playground. As we climb the hill the broad expanse of the neighborhood opens up before us . In the center of the boulevard, at the heart of the neighborhood, lies a beautiful fountain, built of imported tile. To the East lies two more park settings, known by most residents as “Ravines”. Proceeding further down Roland Boulevard is one more ravine containing the neighborhood lake. Since the lake is home to many ducks and geese, over the years it has become known as the “Duck Pond”. Centered in the pond is a large fountain and on the west end of the pond is a Japanese style bridge, lending to the beauty of this neighborhood landmark. As we circle the neighborhood, we eventually will arrive at the local elementary school, playground, and park, comprising nearly seven acres. Giant trees, beautiful landscaping, open ravines and parkways encompassing architectural delights is home for the privileged families who reside here.
